About Me

Hi! I'm Grace, a young photographer with a passion for capturing moments through the lens. I've just completed my GCSEs, and I'm now enjoying focusing more time on developing my photography skills and exploring where this creative journey might take me.

My love for photography began when I was younger — combining two of my biggest interests: horses and capturing moments. Having grown up riding horses and still riding currently, they’ve always been a huge part of my life. Whether I was riding, helping out at the yard, or simply spending time with them, I found myself constantly reaching for my mum’s phone or asking her to take some pictures, or to hang on my bedroom wall. It was something I looked forward to every single day

Over the past few years, I’ve started to take my photography more seriously. I've learned to use a DSLR, how to create my own editing styles, and explored different styles of photography to improve my technique and creativity. I’ve also branched out beyond equine photography, doing portrait sessions for friends and family. These sessions helped me to improve all skills that I’m continuing to develop.

One of the best experiences so far was spending my work experience placement with a professional equine photographer. I was lucky enough to assist on her stand, see the professional side of the industry, and gain insight into what it takes to interact with clients and also picked up some fabulous tips throughout the week. It was both inspiring and motivating, giving me a glimpse into what a future career could look like in this field.

I feel incredibly grateful to have amazing friends who support me by letting me use them as models, helping me grow as a photographer. Whether we’re out in the fields or experimenting with creative ideas, they’ve played a big role in helping me build a portfolio and grow my confidence behind the camera.

For me, photography is all about storytelling — whether that's capturing the unique connection between a rider and their horse, or simply a moment that might otherwise go unnoticed. I'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself, try new things, and continue improving. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next.
